Frequently asked questions
Which languages does the skipper speak?
Dutch and English as standard.
Can we play our own music?
On the covered saloon boats, yes, and there is a silent disco option too. On the open sloops you enjoy the sound of the city instead.
Can we eat and drink on board?
Yes. Many of our packages come with catering and drinks set up. You can also bring your own drinks (we do charge a bottle fee for that). On a boat charter, you can add food and drink packages when you request your quote.
How do I book a private cruise?
Send us the date, group size and occasion, and we reply with a quote. Once you confirm, your boat is booked.
How much does a private cruise cost?
Packages start at around € 44 per person, from 10 people. A boat charter starts at about € 197,50 per hour, depending on the boat and group size. Your quote comes back with the full price, no surprises.
For how long can we have the boat?
Charters run from 2 hours, with 3 or 4 on offer and longer on request. The set packages have a fixed cruising time, usually 1.5 to 2 hours.
What is the minimum group size to book a private bout tour in Amsterdam?
Our cruise packages and private boat tours are based on a minimum of 10 people. Smaller group? You can still book the boat, you would simply pay the 10-person minimum rather than per head. Tell us your numbers and we lay it out clearly in the quote. Boat rentals, on the other hand, are per hour.
How many people fit on a private boat?
From 10 up to 75, depending on the boat. Tell us your number and we point you to the right one.
What time do cruises run?
Our shared cruises start at 10:00 am while the last tour usually leaves at 9:30 pm. You can check the timings while booking. The city can close the central canals between 00:00 and 07:00, so late night sailings are limited.
Is a boat tour the same as a canal cruise?
Yes. Boat tour, canal cruise, canal boat tour, it is the same trip on the water. We use the names interchangeably, so book whichever you searched for.
