We had a great time! The boat arrived on time, the food and drink on board were excellent, and the captain was lovely. My guests from America really enjoyed themselves and thought it was fantastic!

We had a company outing on the BBQ boat, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. Definitely worth booking for a large group.
We had a lovely trip with our children and grandchildren. We saw lots of things, had some lovely food and, of course, it was great that the little ones got to have a go at steering too. In short, it was brilliant!
A user-friendly website where you can easily combine hiring a boat with a meal and an activity!
Fantastic! Captain Cas gave us a really lovely boat trip!
Fantastic! I’d book it again in a heartbeat. We celebrated my mum’s 70th birthday on De Zonneboot and skipper Koen was so friendly and cheerful. A lovely cruise.
A well-maintained boat with high-quality drinks and snacks. The guide gave us an excellent explanation and lots of historical facts. Definitely recommended!
Brilliant!! It was a fantastic Bachelorette’s party with the stripper. The skipper and the person who looked after us were incredibly friendly!
A fantastic experience for a stag party. It was very cosy for 11 of us. The drinks were really well organised. There was even coffee and tea waiting for us. The skipper was friendly and, despite working a double shift, took the time for a chat at the end. We’ll definitely be back.
Fantastic. We had a wonderful time. The lunch was delicious and the helmsman and cook went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. All the guests thought it was a brilliant experience.
Smoking is officially prohibited on our boats and sloops. This applies to sloops with and without a canopy. Once you are back on dry land, we will of course not stop you from smoking.
Certainly. You are welcome to bring anything you like on board. If you do not opt for the unlimited drinks package, we understand that you may wish to bring your own beverages. That is not a problem.
As there is no catering available on the boat, you are also welcome to bring your own food on board. This could include sandwiches, snacks, etc. Make it a celebration that suits your preferences!

Yes, you can. If you don’t opt for a drinks package that includes unlimited cold drinks all day, you’re welcome to bring your own. You’re also allowed to bring food onto the boat.
Renting a boat during King’s Day in Amsterdam comes with a number of rules you must follow. For example, the boat or sloop must not be longer than 10 metres (in much of the city centre). There is also a special route. This differs from the usual routes in Amsterdam outside of King’s Day. So you cannot decide for yourself how and where you sail. The special sailing rules are in place to keep water traffic running smoothly. Fortunately, there is a skipper on board who ensures these rules are followed. This means you can spend the whole day relaxing or dancing as you celebrate King’s Day.
There are plenty of things to do in Amsterdam on King’s Day. Visit various flea markets, relax on a terrace, head to one of the many festivals or, of course, hire a boat and cruise along Amsterdam’s canals! There’s plenty of room on the boat for your whole family, group of friends, student society or colleagues. In short, it’s a party everywhere!
It gets very busy on King’s Day in Amsterdam. As many people go out on the water on King’s Day, the city centre and the canals are particularly busy. Please bear this in mind. Book your boat in good time. Also, make sure you arrive at the boarding point on time if you’re going out on the water.
King’s Day is celebrated every year on 27 April. King’s Day 2027 falls on a Tuesday. The festivities go on all day, and most Dutch people have the day off.
