Private Canal Cruise Amsterdam

Private Canal Cruise Amsterdam

Book the whole boat for your group and let an experienced skipper take care of the rest. A private canal cruise in Amsterdam is yours alone: no strangers aboard, no fixed timetable, and a route that follows your plans rather than a schedule. Whether you are marking an occasion or just want a private boat tour with your favourite people, tell us the date and group size and we take it from there.

Request a quote and we match the right boat to your group.

Private packages for you

A boat for every kind of group

  • Friends and celebrations: birthdays, reunions, a bachelor or hen party. A BBQ boat or party boat sets the tone.
  • Teams: a company outing on the water that nobody groans about.
Family: easy for all ages, from the kids to grandpa.
  • Couples: dinner or a drink for two, just the pair of you.

Just want the boat? Charter it.

Bigger group, or a plan of your own? Rent a private boat in Amsterdam with a skipper and bring your own programme. Pick an open sloop to catch the sun, or a covered saloon boat with heating for any season, from cosy boats for 10 up to large boats for 150. Most come with a stocked bar, cushions and blankets, and a restroom on board. From € 185 per hour, skipper included.

A private boat tour of Amsterdam, just for you

Your skipper shapes the route around your group. Want the Golden Bend, the Jordaan and the Seven Bridges? Done. Rather linger on the Amstel with a drink in hand? Also done. It is your afternoon on the Amsterdam canals.

How it works, in three steps

1. Tell us the date, your group size and the occasion.

Frequently asked questions

Can I smoke during the cruise

For safety reasons, we do not allow smoking on our boats, so both smokers and non-smokers can enjoy the tour. However, we can tell you some good places to go after the tour where you can smoke nice, high-quality tobacco.

Is there a restroom on board?

No, keep in mind that this sloop does not have a restroom on board. We recommend going beforehand. If someone needs to use the restroom during the cruise, we can make a quick stop somewhere.

Which languages does the skipper speak?

Dutch and English as standard.

Can we play our own music?

On the covered saloon boats, yes, and there is a silent disco option too. On the open sloops you enjoy the sound of the city instead.

Can we eat and drink on board?

Yes. Many of our packages come with catering and drinks set up. You can also bring your own drinks (we do charge a bottle fee for that). On a boat charter, you can add food and drink packages when you request your quote.

How do I book a private cruise?

Send us the date, group size and occasion, and we reply with a quote. Once you confirm, your boat is booked.

How much does a private cruise cost?

Packages start at around € 44 per person, from 10 people. A boat charter starts at about € 197,50 per hour, depending on the boat and group size. Your quote comes back with the full price, no surprises.

For how long can we have the boat?

Charters run from 2 hours, with 3 or 4 on offer and longer on request. The set packages have a fixed cruising time, usually 1.5 to 2 hours.

What is the minimum group size to book a private bout tour in Amsterdam?

Our cruise packages and private boat tours are based on a minimum of 10 people. Smaller group? You can still book the boat, you would simply pay the 10-person minimum rather than per head. Tell us your numbers and we lay it out clearly in the quote. Boat rentals, on the other hand, are per hour.

How many people fit on a private boat?

From 10 up to 75, depending on the boat. Tell us your number and we point you to the right one.
