A beer in your hand, a blanket over your knees, and the next work of art glows above the water. On the Winter Borrelboot, you’ll cruise for an hour and a half along the Amsterdam Light Festival route, with unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. You’ll be sailing privately, with a skipper who knows the light route. The festival runs from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027.

Everyone’s familiar with a drink in the pub. This boat trip takes you past the city’s most beautiful artworks. You’ll have the boat all to yourselves, your glasses will be topped up and the skipper will navigate the route. Fancy a bite to eat? Why not add a platter of bitterballen or a cheese platter?
You’ll sail along the Amstel and through the eastern canal belt, past the artworks from the 15th edition. Many of the works hang above the water. From the boat, you’ll have a front-row view.
From soft drinks to beer and wine: the drinks package is fully included, so you can enjoy unlimited refreshments on board.
Sit back and enjoy your boat trip while an experienced skipper takes you past the most beautiful spots and tells you all about them.
Drinks are included on the Winter Borrelboot; you choose the snacks yourself. A few favourites from our food menu:
Prefer to toast with prosecco or a glass of whisky to ward off the cold? Add to your drinks package when you make your booking.
You can choose between a heated saloon boat and a sloop. All boats are electric and blankets are provided on board each one. Most saloon boats have a toilet on board. If you’re on a sloop without a toilet, we’ll stop at a café along the way. Our boats are moored at the Oosterdokskade, close to Amsterdam Central Station.
Bootuitjes sails with a wide selection of boats. You can choose between an open sloop or a covered salon boat. Most salon boats have a restroom on board, and some sloops do as well. Do you have a preference? Let us know when making your request.
The basic drinks package includes beer, wine, and soft drinks. Want to upgrade the package, for example with a glass of Prosecco or a spirit? You can easily do this when making your request.
This sloop is completely private for your group. You cruise exclusively with an experienced skipper who knows the Amsterdam canals inside out and ensures a relaxed and comfortable ride. This way, you can enjoy each other’s company without interruption, while everything on board runs smoothly.
In Amsterdam, it is not allowed to play loud music in public. However, you can enjoy music on a covered salon boat, or even opt for a silent disco boat to enjoy music and dancing discreetly.

Every winter, the centre of Amsterdam is transformed into a route filled with light art, along and above the canals. The 15th edition runs from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027. A fantastic experience for a stag party. It was very cosy for 11 of us. The drinks were really well organised. There was even coffee and tea waiting for us. The skipper was friendly and, despite working a double shift, took the time for a chat at the end. We’ll definitely be back.
