Frequently asked questions

Is it worth it?

For a group, it often is. You get the whole boat to yourselves, a skipper who guides the trip, and food and drinks sorted, all for a price you see up front. It turns a few hours on the water into an easy day out that nobody has to organise on the day.

Can kids or family come?

Yes. The boats work for family groups and mixed ages, and the skipper takes care of the sailing. A covered saloon boat is a comfortable pick for grandparents or young children, especially in cooler or wet weather.

Can you bring your own food and drinks?

When you book, you can add drink packages and catering, ranging from simple snacks to a full three-course menu. Prefer to bring your own food and drinks? That’s possible too, for a corkage fee per person. Just let us know in your quote request so we can include it from the start.

Can you drive the boat yourself?

No, we do not offer self-drive. A local skipper steers every boat. That means no stress about the wheel, and someone on board who knows the canals and the rules.

How many people fit on the BBQ boat?

Whether you’re 12 or 75, we have a BBQ boat that fits. Every cruise is private, with your own skipper on board. Groups start at 10 people, and below that you simply pay the 10-person minimum instead of per person.

Are drinks included on the BBQ boat?

Yes. Beer, wine and soft drinks are included throughout, and you can add prosecco or a spirit on request.

Who cooks the BBQ?

A private chef cooks it fresh on board while the skipper sails, so no one in your group is stuck at the grill.

Is there a vegetarian BBQ option?

Yes. Alongside the meat BBQ there is a vegetarian option, so let us know your numbers when you request.

What is on the BBQ menu?

Burgers, skewers and sides with a range of sauces. Tell us your preferences in advance and we set the menu for your group.

What is the difference between a bridal shower and a bachelorette party?

A bridal shower is usually a daytime, gift-focused celebration, often with family and older guests. A bachelorette party is the friends’ send-off, and it can be as relaxed or as lively as the bride wants. Plenty of brides have both.
