A platter of tapas on the table, a glass of wine in your hand, and outside the window the next work of art lights up. On the Winter Tapas cruise, you’ll spend an hour and a half sailing along the Amsterdam Light Festival route, with hot and cold tapas to share and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks. You’ll be sailing privately, with a skipper who knows the light route. The festival runs from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027.

Tapas are made for sharing, and nowhere is that better than at a table on the water. As you sail under the bridges, the plates are passed round and everyone points out the next work of art. No hassle with bookings or crowded venues: you’ve got the boat all to yourselves.
You’ll sail along the Amstel and through the eastern canal belt, past the artworks from the 15th edition. Many of the works hang above the water. From the boat, you’ll have a front-row view.
Sit back and enjoy your boat trip while an experienced skipper takes you past the most beautiful spots and tells you all about them.
From soft drinks to beer and wine: the drinks package is fully included, so you can enjoy unlimited refreshments on board.

Beer, wine and soft drinks are available throughout the cruise. Would you like to toast with prosecco or add extra snacks to your package? Just mention it in your enquiry and we’ll sort it out.
All our boats are electric and are skippered by a dedicated crew member. During the Light Festival, you can choose between a covered saloon boat and a sloop. All saloon boats are heated and blankets are provided on every boat. Saloon boats usually have a toilet on board. On a sloop without a toilet, we’ll stop at a restaurant along the way. Our boats are moored at the Oosterdokskade, close to Amsterdam Central Station.
Bootuitjes sails with a wide selection of boats. You can choose between an open sloop or a covered salon boat. Most salon boats have a restroom on board, and some sloops do as well. Do you have a preference? Let us know when making your request.
The basic drinks package includes beer, wine, and soft drinks. Want to upgrade the package, for example with a glass of Prosecco or a spirit? You can easily do this when making your request.
This sloop is completely private for your group. You cruise exclusively with an experienced skipper who knows the Amsterdam canals inside out and ensures a relaxed and comfortable ride. This way, you can enjoy each other’s company without interruption, while everything on board runs smoothly.
In Amsterdam, it is not allowed to play loud music in public. However, you can enjoy music on a covered salon boat, or even opt for a silent disco boat to enjoy music and dancing discreetly.

Every winter, the centre of Amsterdam is transformed into a route filled with light art, running alongside and above the canals. The 15th edition runs from 26 November 2026 to 17 January 2027. A fantastic experience for a stag party. It was very cosy for 11 of us. The drinks were really well organised. There was even coffee and tea waiting for us. The skipper was friendly and, despite working a double shift, took the time for a chat at the end. We’ll definitely be back.
